A place brand for one of Barcelona's oldest and most diverse neighbourhoods, developed as my Master's final project — built to represent its layered identity: historic, artisan and multicultural, all at once.
Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera are three interwoven neighbourhoods in Barcelona's Ciutat Vella, each with its own texture — medieval streets, a landmark market, artisan workshops and a deeply multicultural present. The brief was to build one identity that could hold all of that without collapsing it into a generic "old town" cliché. The system draws on the area's markets, craft traditions and street patterns to create a flexible mark, typographic voice and palette. It flexes across signage, print, merchandising and digital, giving the neighbourhood a single, recognisable voice while staying true to its layered character.
We went out into the streets of Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera and asked the people who live there to describe their neighbourhood in a single word — and to tell us what has become hardest to find in a place increasingly shaped for tourists and less for the everyday neighbour.
